Who, What, Why?

The idea that Decay and I might at some point find some time to make with the food posts has been bandied about for a very long time.  Food-related posts just happened to be spread amongst all the other randomness we posted, holiday-related posts quite often ended up being where we went and what we ate (:  We're just a couple of people (some might say ... geeks) who happen to like making stuff in the kitchen, and enjoying tasty food wherever we might be.

Food@RSO is meant to be our place to post about foodish things that we experience - things we've made, eaten, bought, want to try, brought in to share at work, learnt to do - if we feel up to posting about it, we'll do so! 

As this place takes shape, maybe I'll add some more stuff here - I don't know that there's a need for an FAQ, but maybe we'll knock together an In-FAQ (:

Cast and Crew:

X: The boyo, previously known as parasite when he was in utero, now he's the cute young sir, son to Droidy and Decay who is growing at a rate of knots.  Likes his food, which is useful!  He has his own site at X Marks the Spot!

Droidy: Errr.... that would be the person who happens to be writing the entries at the moment. Apparently I go off on tangents a bit...!
 
Decay: Huggable person, and Dad to X.  He steps in to rescue my geeky endeavours especially when I might've tried for a little more than I can handle on minimal sleep. Actually does most of the dinner-related cookery in the house.  
 
Gran: Decay's Mum, and known to X as Gran.  Can make X giggle at ten paces, or even over the phone.  I think it's a skill that Grans have.

Aunty DKtE: Decay's older sister, and Aunty to X. Works in the same office as Droidy, and so has relational first dibs on any cakes/cookies/etc that are brought in by Droidy for sharing with the work peoples.    

Po-Po, Goong-Goong, and Uncle Stirfry:  Droidy's Mum, Dad, and little (younger, not shorter) brother. Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle to X.  Uncle Stirfry kept a travel blog at Patch in Europe.

G, M34tb4LL, and L (young sir of G and M34tb4LL):  Friends who live nearby, and are often called upon to be (willing?) guinea pigs for our kitchen shenanigans.  G can be found at It's all about G, M34tb4LL can be found at Pieces of M34tb4LL and L can be found at It's all about Peanut and at Tumblogan

LTO: Also known as Lumpy Trauma Overlord, friend of Decay, Droidy, G, M34tb4LL and associated underlings.  Happens to work at the same place (different floor) as Droidy, and can often be found joining us for dinner after work.  Used to be our housemate, back when we first became mortgage repayment monkeys, and before X was even a twinkle in anyone's eyes, but his love of shiny technology lured him elsewhere *grin*
